- In the video game series, Amy Rose is a loving young hedgehog adept in tarot card reading and arcana that constantly wields her Piko Piko Hammer. She was once kidnapped by Metal Sonic during one of Doctor Eggman's schemes, but was rescued by Sonic the Hedgehog. She developed a major crush on her savior, standing by his side ever since.
- Amy Rose was referenced in Sonic the Hedgehog, where the owner of an apartment Maddie Wachowski was observing on Zillow was shown to bear the same name.
Behind the Scenes[]
- Amy Rose is the first female character from the video game series to appear in the Sonic the Hedgehog Cinematic Universe to be an animal. She is the second overall after Maria Robotnik.
- There were talks about having Amy Rose play a larger role in Sonic the Hedgehog 3, but the idea was ultimately scrapped as there wasn't enough space in the storyline to do both her and Shadow the Hedgehog the justice they deserved.[3]
