Battle Against the Giant Eggman Robot[]
Tom, Maddie and Walters arrive at Green Hills in the helicopter
After Wade Whipple confirmed to Tom and Maddie Wachowski the return of Doctor Eggman through a walkie-talkie,[1] Walters trusted and allied with them to stop him.[2] After being released, Walters contacted a Guardian Units of Nations squadron to bring a helicopter to Hawaii.[1] The G.U.N. helicopter took the three to Green Hills, Montana, where an agent informed Walters that Eggman and Agent Stone were at the Mean Bean Coffee Café. To demonstrate the power of the Master Emerald, Eggman used G.U.N.'s equipment, including the helicopter parts, to create a giant robot of himself.[2]

Following Shadow the Hedgehog's awakening and escape from Prison Island, the director of G.U.N., Rockwell, sent by Walters, traveled by helicopter to Green Hills' forests, where she met up with Team Sonic and Tom and Maddie Wachowski to recruit the trio of heroes to confront Shadow, a mission that the team accepted and they headed to Tokyo, Japan.
Team Sonic jumps out of the helicopter
The G.U.N. helicopter, piloted by Tails and another pilot, crossed a portal ring to transport themselves faster to Tokyo, where Sonic the Hedgehog and his team quickly saw the explosion caused by Shadow, deciding to follow the trail, while arguing about the team name, which Knuckles the Echidna did not like. Sonic joked to Rockwell about the flight's low budget and poor amenities before jumping with Team Sonic into the Shibuya Crossing, where they confronted Shadow, who berated them upon seeing them disembark from the G.U.N. helicopter.[3]
Trivia[]
- The G.U.N. helicopter that takes Tom, Maddie Wachowski, and Walters to Green Hills has "SA-2" written on it. This is a reference to the abbreviation for Sonic Adventure 2, as well as the group Sigma-Alpha 2, who captured Sonic the Hedgehog and took him away in their helicopter before his escape in the video game series.
