The Giant Eggman Robot[2] was a humongous steerable Badnik created and used by Doctor Eggman, who was empowered by Master Emerald, to defeat Sonic the Hedgehog, Tails and Knuckles the Echidna.

Battle Against a New Order[]
Eggman powers the Giant Eggman Robot

Out of various metallic parts, Doctor Eggman, fueled by the Master Emerald, created the Giant Eggman Robot. Marching upon the town of Green Hills, Sonic the Hedgehog, Tails and Knuckles the Echidna charged attacks against the robot, only for them to fail. Team Sonic developed a plan of teamwork against the robot, which sends out a legion of supercharged Badniks. With Sonic challenging Eggman, he followed him into the forest, where Tails and Knuckles could infiltrate the mechanism. With Tails distracting him, Eggman loses the Master Emerald by Knuckles' punch, thus deactivating the robot, plummeting upon the ground.
The Giant Eggman Robot chases after Sonic
The robot rises however with a back-up power source, and seems to have successfully defeated Sonic by crushing him and the Wachowskis under its giant foot. Sonic, powered by the Chaos Emeralds, then rises, destroying the machine and letting it fall over to Eggman's presumed death,[1] however, he managed to survive the fall.[3]
G.U.N. Investigation[]

Sometime afterwards, the Guardian Units of Nations investigated the area of the Giant Eggman Robot's fall for signs of Eggman being alive. When an agent talks to Walters of files related to Project Shadow, agent Stone, who was able to survive the fall, eavesdropped as a soldier.[1]

Doctor Eggman's Giant Eggman Robot was a massive look-alike mechanical Badnik equipped with missiles in favor of fighting Sonic the Hedgehog and Tails' forces and special attacks such as the "'Stache Smasher." It additionally had rocket thrusters on its fist to increase the momentum of the robot's punches and wrist-mounted flamethrowers. Its other battle tactics were derived from the empowerment granted from the Master Emerald, which allowed the mech to fire lasers out of its eyes, nose and knuckles and an infantry of emerald-powered Badniks.
With Robotnik's powerful connection to it via the emerald, he could control it by movement and thought, sensing what the robot feels upon attack. When rid of the Master Emerald, Eggman let it run on auxiliary power. It could also be utilized manually with Control Gloves. The robot was also immensely durable, developing little damage from its own missiles.[1]

- In the video game series, the Death Egg Robot is a gigantic battle mech worn by Ivo Robotnik, used frequently upon fighting Sonic the Hedgehog and his accomplices.
- In Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Doctor Eggman boasted that Sonic was no match to something "700 times his size." Sonic being 3 ft tall (1 m) according to Lindsey,[4] the Giant Eggman Robot would stand at roughly 2100 ft tall (640.08 m).
- This estimation is based on Sonic's height. If Eggman's quote is in referral to Sonic's volume instead (0.028 m³, as his mass is 28 kg and body density is 1000kg/m³ (estimate applicable to most living organisms)), the robot would stand at approximately 26.6 ft tall (8.11 m). He would additionally weigh about 43129.6 lbs (approx. 19600 kg).
