After their last battle against Team Sonic, Doctor Eggman and Stone hid in the Mecha Crab beneath the ocean, following Eggman's presumed death in front of the Guardian Units of Nations. Months later, Stone encountered Team Sonic in Tokyo, revealing that neither he nor Eggman were involved in the attack on Commander Walters with the Flying Eggs. Determined to prove their innocence, he revealed the Mecha Crab emerging from the Tokyo Bay, inviting them inside. While waiting for Stone, Eggman lazed around and ate copiously inside the Crab while watching La Última Pasión before being suddenly interrupted by Stone and Team Sonic, causing him to berate his assistant for bringing them.
Stone showed footages of the attack on the Chao Garden to Eggman on the monitor, enraging him. In response, Eggman located the base of the impostor who had hijacked his drones, leading to an alliance between Team Sonic and Eggman to find the base. After sealing the agreement when Sonic the Hedgehog gave him one of his quills, Eggman ordered Stone to shave all his hair and use various fabrics to modify his suit to accommodate his new weight.[2]
Search for Gerald Robotnik[]

After betraying Team Sonic to team up with his grandfather, Gerald Robotnik, and Shadow the Hedgehog, Eggman sent the Mecha Crab into Robotnik's laboratory. Team Robotnik boarded the Crab while Team Sonic dealt with a mini black hole released by Shadow. In the distance, Stone piloted the Mecha Crab towards London, England, where the team planned to infiltrate the G.U.N. Headquarters to obtain the second Eclipse Cannon keycard. During the four-hour flight, Eggman and Robotnik enjoyed quality time together in a virtual simulation.[2]
Infiltration into G.U.N. Headquarters[]

With the help of the Crab, Team Robotnik reached London through the sewer, emerging to the surface in an alley. To carry out the infiltration, Eggman and Robotnik wore spandex suits to camouflage themselves, while Stone and Shadow stayed behind in the Crab. Stone, in the meantime, passed the time by making guacamole. During the wait, Shadow spent time watching La Última Pasión, making a sadistic remark, while Stone tried to empathize with him, reminding him that once they got the keycard, the team would be able to rule the world. However, Shadow declared that once they were done, there would be nothing left to rule, leaving Stone confused and starting to suspect Robotnik's true plans.
The Mecha Crab sinks in the River Thames
However, Tails managed to locate the Crab in the sewer and hijacked the transmission of the soap opera to surprise them, before hacking into the sewer systems. This caused a massive influx of water, trapping Stone inside the Crab, while Shadow managed to escape. Successfully, Stone managed to escape, while the Crab was destroyed and left behind in the River Thames. Stone quickly called Eggman to warn him that Robotnik had other plans, but his boss ignored him and dismissed him. Meanwhile, the team deployed the Space Colony ARK, leaving Stone behind.[2]
