Metal Sonic is a blue variant of the many silver-colored robots identical to Sonic the Hedgehog.

Ambush at New York State Park[]
Metal Sonic arrives to New York State Park
In 2024, Metal Sonic teleported to New York State Park, where Sonic the Hedgehog was navigating a way back to Green Hills, Montana. Sneaking up on him, Metal Sonic equipped his cannon and began charging it up. He fired the cannon, and to his surprise, Sonic evaded the attack. Sonic lightly taunted the robot and landed a chaos energy-induced punch from him.
Metal Sonic assembles the other robots
Metal Sonic was blown back and ignored Sonic's quip regarding his "imperfect cosplay" of him. Metal Sonic alerted the other silver-colored Metal Sonics and had them accompany him as they collectively pounced on Sonic, only for them all to be destroyed by Amy Rose's Piko Piko Hammer.[1]

- Teleportation: Metal Sonic can teleport when powering down and taking a kneeling position, powering back up afterwards. A lightning strike would follow Metal Sonic's enabling of the ability.
- Enhanced Durability: Being an advanced robot, Metal Sonic can withstand powerful strikes, such as those from Sonic the Hedgehog and his chaos energy, and recover with no visible damage.
