- "The last time I sat beneath stars like this... I was with her."
- ―Shadow the Hedgehog to Sonic the Hedgehog[src]
The Moon is the only permanent natural satellite that orbits around Earth. It was cut in half by the Eclipse Cannon's laser.
History[]
Battle for Earth[]

- "Look what you did!"
- ―Doctor Eggman to Tails and Knuckles the Echidna[src]
During their duel on Earth, Super Sonic and Super Shadow clashed after Shadow accused Sonic of betraying his friends. The fight transported them to the Moon, where Shadow lost his Super Transformation. Ready to strike Shadow down, Super Sonic remembered Tom's advice and chose to spare him, instead reflecting on their shared pain over their losses, like Longclaw and Maria Robotnik. Moved, they resolved to stop the Eclipse Cannon.
The Moon is split in half
While Super Sonic and Super Shadow created a barrier to block the cannon's laser, Doctor Eggman, Tails, and Knuckles the Echidna successfully redirected the laser's path away from the planet. Their relief was short-lived, however, as the laser sheared off a large chunk of the Moon.[1]
