"If I'm ever discovered, I'll follow Longclaw's instructions and use my rings to escape to a new planet. A nice, safe world filled only with mushrooms. Gross, smelly mushrooms... I hate mushrooms."
Sonic the Hedgehog[src]

As he fled from the Echidna on Mobius, Sonic the Hedgehog was told by Longclaw to travel to the planet if he was ever endangered on Earth. After having defeated Ivo Robotnik, Sonic was to stay in Green Hills, Montana and accepted being known to public despite Longclaw's instructions.[1]

"I'll be home by Christmas."
Doctor Eggman[src]

After a battle with the hedgehog, Ivo Robotnik was warped to the location through a ring, stranding him and his Egg-Pod. He roamed the planet for more than 87 days, personifying a rock in the name of his assistant, agent Stone, and recording daily monologues in his Doctor's Log. He planned to use Sonic's quill to return to Earth by Christmas and took his rock assistant with him.[1][2]

Eggman would then find a trail of blue mushrooms he would get addicted to, leading him into a cave full of them. The mushrooms become sentient and attack Eggman, being set ablaze by his flamethrower as a result. Eggman exited the cave, vowing to destroying what will get in his way before returning to Earth.[3]

"Day 243"[]

Doctor Eggman to "Agent Stone"[src]

Having 'mushroom coffee' delivered to him by a mechanism he designed, Eggman narrates about his 243rd day on the planet.[4] Due to his recurring mushroom consumption, Eggman hallucinated Stone's face in the rock and then received a message telling him to create an intergalactic beacon to escape.[5] He hooks his beacon up to Sonic's quill, sending out an energy wave into space.

He wakes up from a blackout from the wave to see scavengers approach him, defeating him with various traps. Charging towards the ring his opponents came out of, Knuckles the Echidna appears to bring him back to Earth so he can find out where he got the quill from.[4]

Fairley's Banishment[]

Mason to Fairley[src]

To ensure that Commander Walters did not learn of his plans to trap Knuckles the Echidna, agent Mason opened a portal ring to the Mushroom Planet, kicking Agent Fairley towards the planet, commenting that he would enjoy his stay, since the planet was beautiful at the current time of year.[6]
