The Discord Policy is a set of rules dedicated to govern the official Sonic the Hedgehog Cinematic Universe Wiki Discord server, as well as its relationship with the wiki.
SCU Wiki Discord Server[]
The Discord server of the Sonic the Hedgehog Cinematic Universe Wiki serves as a hub for discussions about past, present, and future SCU products, as well as casual socializing among fans. Although open to all SCU enthusiasts, it is mainly the community of Wiki editors who engage in discussions regarding the wiki's direction. Server moderators, equipped with the highest permissions, ensure its smooth operation, and the wiki's administrators also hold moderator rights within the server. For any server-related queries or assistance, feel free to reach out to an active server mod via private DMs on Discord.

Channel | Description |
---|---|
Information | Technical channels with the set of rules and guidelines of the server, server announcements, the verification channel, reaction roles channel, and a channel for feedback to improve the server. |
Sonic Cinematic Universe | Different channels dedicated to discuss SCU media; either past products in the hub channels for #movies and #television, or future products in #upcoming-content and specific channels opened after trailers are released. |
Community | Non-SCU channels for general discussion (descriptions listed in channel descriptions) |
Voice Channels | Channels dedicated to engaging in conversations with other fans. |
Wiki | A set of channels dedicated to the SCU Wiki itself, conversations, doubts and suggestions about the wiki, and frequently-asked-questions about the site. |
Rules and Guidelines[]
- Assume good faith: There will be users who will be unfamiliar with Discord, the SCU franchise, or how Wiki policies and practices properly work. While you may hear the same question being asked repetitively, it could be a first for them; assume all these questions are asked in good faith. When doubt is cast on good faith, continue to assume good faith yourself when possible.
- Be respectful: In accordance with the Wiki's No Personal Attacks policy, any and all forms of harassment, including discrimination and hate speech, will not be tolerated. Be respectful and courteous of others' views and opinions. It’s a common courtesy to treat others the way you want to be treated, so the same applies here. This applies to interactions with and among staff as well. Staff may not block each other, and users may not block staff.
- Maturity: While we can have fun, please be mindful to be civil and mature. Inappropriate / suggestive humor is not welcomed here, neither is toxic behavior that makes people feel uncomfortable, unwelcomed or excluded.
- Our official language is English: While we welcome all members across the world, the server adheres to an English-only policy, for ease of communication amongst members, and editors.
- Stay on channel topic: It is expected for all members of the Discord to adhere to each channel's designated topic; post all questions / messages in the correct indicated channels. Real-world politics and/or religion may only be discussed in relation to either the MCU, or otherwise in a civil manner. Any heated or disruptive debates will promptly be shut-down.
- No spamming: This extends to both the text and voice channels. Do not repeat the same things over and over, or send messages with no purpose but to seek attention. Spamming fills up the channels with nonsense, interrupts the flow of conversations, and is bothersome to the members actively trying to hold them. This extends to sending irrelevant messages or embeds with the purpose of disrupting the conversation.
- No roleplaying: We do not identify as a roleplaying server. It is distracting and counter-intuitive to the Wiki. Altering your Discord user profile and attitude on the server to personify real-life figures, fictional characters, other Discord members, or staff, is not allowed here.
- Spoilers: The Spoiler Policy on the Discord will be aligned with the policy on the Wiki. In discussions, openly discussing spoiler details outside their designated channels will be met with a block at the discretion of staff. Outside of designated spoiler text channels, spoiler tags (Syntax: ||spoiler||) and a verbal warning about the name of media being discussed must be provided in offtopic or general discussions.
- Following the Discord ToS: The Discord Terms of Service (https://dis.gd/terms), Community Guidelines (https://dis.gd/guidelines) and Partnership Code of Conduct (https://dis.gd/partnercoc) are to be obeyed at all times.
